Our people

Academician Li graduated from Peking University in 1968 and received his Ph.D. from Purdue University in 1985. In 1987, he returned to China and worked at the Institute of Computing Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). From 1990 to 1999, he served as the director of the National Intelligent Computer Research and Development Center. From 2000 to 2011, he served as the director of the Institute of Computing Technology of CAS. He is currently the chief scientist of the Institute. In 1995, he founded Dawning Information Industry Co., LTD., which was listed on the main board in 2014 and has been the chairman of the board. He is currently the honorary chairman of the Chinese Computer Society and the Dean of the School of Computer and Control, University of CAS. He mainly engaged in the research of computer architecture, parallel algorithm, artificial intelligence, computer network and information technology development strategy. He was elected as an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering in 1995, and an academician of the Third World Academy of Sciences (now TWAS) in 2001.

Master Fan graduated from Nankai University in 1984 and received a PhD in Engineering from CAS in 1990. He joined the Institute of Computing Technology of CAS in 1990 and served as project team leader, deputy chief engineer of the Intelligence Center, deputy director of the Computing Institute, executive vice president of Dawning Corporation, and vice president of Lenovo Research Institute consecutively. Since 2006, he has served as the dean of Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (SIAT). Since 2018, he has been the director of the Preparatory Office of the university. In 2021, he was elected as an academician of the International Eurasian Academy of Sciences.

Dr. Larry Liang obtained a doctorate degree from the Department of Medicine and the State Key Laboratory of Biomedical Technology at Li Ka Shing School of Medicine, University of Hong Kong in 2015. In recent years, Dr. Liang has actively engaged in Residential College education. Prior to joining SIAT, Dr. Liang worked at the University of Macau and served as Associate College Master and Resident Fellow for 6 years. During his studies and work at the University of Hong Kong, he also served as a Resident Tutor for 4 years and accumulated a wealth of experience in student affairs. His past medical research focused on diabetes and obesity related metabolic syndromes, depression and exercise, as well as liver injury of Chinese Traditional Medicine. He joined Dawning College as founding Associate College master in 2021.

Miss Su graduated from the National Huaqiao University in English Language and Literature in 2018, and graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Master degree of Applied Language in 2020. She has 4 years of working experience in student affairs. During her study, she served as the leaders of several student organizations. She joined Dawning College as founding College Fellow in 2021.

Mr Fang comes from Jining, Shandong province. He is a Ph.D. candidate. He received a bachelor degree of arts in 2013, and a master degree in ideological and political education in 2017. He has 7 years of working experience as a full-time and part-time university counselor, and his major research interest is ideological guidance and career development of college students.
